I have officially entered my “what was I thinking?” era.
Some people take up pickleball.
Some people learn Italian.
I decided to build an e-commerce website...From scratch, with the same brain that forgets why I walked into a room.
It started innocently enough:
“I’ll just put a few Dolly Mamas online.”
Fast forward three weeks and I’m deep in something called Meta Commerce Manager, questioning my life choices and getting judged by my computer.
Did you know there are things called:
- javascript (not the coffee kind)
- pixels (not the cute kind)
- schema (I can’t even)
At one point, I connected something to something else, and I’m still not entirely sure what I did.
But it worked......I think.
In the process, I designed mugs, t-shirts, journals, canvas prints, and tumblers. And here’s what I’ve learned:
- Technology smells fear.
- Always publish updates.
- Stainless steel tumblers are lead-free. My brain is not.
But…The shop is live.
And somehow — despite the swearing, the coffee, and the late-night Googling — it feels kind of fabulous.
Because this isn’t just a store, it’s a place to go when you need a laugh. It’s Dolly Mamas in real life.
So if you browse, just know…Every product was designed with love, laughter, and very strong coffee.
And maybe one remaining brain cell.
