Between Men-O-Pause and Dead

Between Men-O-Pause and Dead

Well… I finally did it.
I wrote the book.
(Okay—technically, I lived the book first.)

Between Men-O-Pause and Dead is about what happens when a woman finally owns her shit and decides to stop pretending everything’s fine. It’s about healing while reinventing a business, navigating dating (with mixed results), and learning how to build a healthy relationship with yourself—sometimes kicking and screaming.

At the time, I looked like I had it all: a beautiful house, a fabulous studio, and a fiancé who seemed like the finish line. Plot twist: the Universe had other plans. Deep down—somewhere between my heart and my brain—I knew the life I was choosing wasn’t one of my better ideas. But denial can be very persuasive, and I had worked way too hard to blow up what looked good on paper.

I liked my carefully curated snow-globe life. Shake it up and nothing settles neatly. Worse? It might shatter completely.
Spoiler alert: it did.

In our garage, he announced, “We’re done,” then calmly drove off to the gym.
(Yes. Really.)

Once the dust settled and I could breathe again, fear showed up with a mirror and asked me to take a long, hard look at myself. I declined. Martinis accepted the invitation instead, followed by a very optimistic stint on Match.com. The dates were hilarious, distracting, and occasionally unhinged—until distractions ran out.

Eventually, I realized I couldn’t out-run my own reflection. I had to take responsibility for the choices I made and face the fear that I might never feel good enough. So I decided to start over—by re-birthing myself.
Did I get stuck in the canal? Yes.
Did I come out ass-backwards? Also yes.
Was it worth it? Absolutely.

Because somewhere between the mess, the humor, the bad dates, and the hard truths—I found myself.

If you’re going through a crisis, starting over when you’re really not in the mood, questioning your worth, or just need a laugh with a side of perspective, this book is meant for you.
It’s honest, funny, relatable, and best enjoyed as a binge read.
