When Your Craft Room Takes Over the House

When Your Craft Room Takes Over the House

I honestly thought I had my craft supplies under control.

Then I went looking for a glue stick.

Three hours later, I'd rediscovered supplies I'd forgotten I owned and somehow managed to order more crochet hooks.

Apparently, shopping for craft supplies and actually using craft supplies are two completely different hobbies.

Who knew?

My craft room contains enough ribbon, paper, glue, fabric, markers, embellishments, and "must-have" gadgets to survive at least three economic downturns.

Do I need another roll of washi tape?

Absolutely not.

Did I buy it because it was on sale?

Absolutely yes.

Every now and then I get ambitious and decide I'm finally going to organize everything.

The problem is I don't own enough containers.

It's not clutter.

It's creative potential.

At least that's what I keep telling myself.

The other day I stood back, admired my handiwork, and proudly announced,

"See? I can fit all my craft supplies in one box."

Then I looked around the room.

Then it occurred to me...

I was standing IN the box.

At this point, I'm not entirely sure I have a craft room anymore.

I think I have a craft house...

with a kitchen.
