I bought the vintage dining room table for $20.00, the chair came from Homegoods and rest of the furniture was from Ikea.
When I start I new project, coffee is usually involved...that and as you can see...a lot of craft supplies and vintage junk.
I was given the chance to explain how to create dolly mama pillows in Art Doll Quarterly Magazine Winter 2018. Woo Hoo!
My shabby chic phase. Everything in my studio was either found on the street, bought at a junk shop with a splatter of Target.

Being creative is messy business!
I am big fan of working with what you have and if that doesn't work...Ikea can fill in! My studio/office is my happy place...no rules!
The metal dolly mamas sitting and standing on the shelves pretty much paid for this house and my studio.
Between you and me...I wish I could re-write it. I guess we feel this way about your lives sometimes! Time to let that shit go!
It WAS ALWAYS a creative mess!
At the time I lived in an old farm house with a third floor. I had a real studio, office and even a bathroom like a real grown-up!
They were originally cut out of roof flashing and if I remember correctly, I used my daughters poster paint!

What people are saying... "How would I describe this book?" If Sex and the City had a baby with Eat, Pray, Love and their nanny was I Love Lucy. "I laughed out loud on so many occasions, I ordered several copies for my girlfriends." "The day I received this book, I read 11 chapters." "This book had me laughing so hard at times. I would love to see this made into Netflix series."
